1x16 dude where my sword. Howard shore is a damn genius, no movie I have watched since first seeing Lotr (roughly 10 years ago) has had a soundtrack nearly as memorable. Like others before me, I will refrain from gushing at a movie which I will be taking the unprecedented step of going to see for the third time at the theatre this Thursday. So, here are the good points and the bad points. The good points outweigh the bad points by orders of magnitude.
Good:
1. It tells the story faithfully even if it departs from complete accuracy.
2. Great acting, especially by Elijah Woods and Ian McKellen.
3. Immense and beautiful scenery, sets and visual effects.
4. Captures, with few exceptions, Tolkien"s characters.
5. Appeals to those who have read the book and those who haven"t alike.
6. It keeps your attention for the full three hours which is an impressive feat!
Bad:
1. Weathertop scene was disappointing.
2. Gimli"s character was underdeveloped and a bit cardboard.
3. Lothlorien passage was incomplete and confusing and Galadriel came across wrong.
In summary? Go and see this movie. Even if you don"t like it as much as 90% of the rest of us, you"ll never forgive yourself if you miss it. I think it will become a true movie classic of the likes of Ben Hur.
P.S. At one of the sittings, a 6 year old kid in front of me had to be taken out because he was so scared of the black riders. I don"t think it"s appropriate for kids under 8.

For some reaspn the shot with the little girl running over the hill and the other kids shouting Gandalf, Gandalf! in joy always brings tears to my eyes, so beautifully shot and the music is perfect. This is the best Marvel movie without a doubt if not one of the greatest movie of all time IMO.
As a big fan of Marvel, I had very high expectations & I was worried it wouldn"t live up to the hype but this movie exceeded it.
The characters and the casting were great as always. The story was just on point and it is very much a Thanos" story and a movie as the directors said. The pacing is just right so it keeps you on the edge and flows together. I was worried about all the CGI especially for Thanos but man the visuals effects are amazing. He looks so real! Thanos was phenomenal. He was an absolutely badass yet at times a sympathetic villain. You understood him. They really nailed the character. I liked that he actually had a decent motivation. The score fits right in with the scene and really gives you the can I even say about action. it is just perfect.
Mostly everyone has a moment to shine in the film. The Russo brothers really managed the screen times of characters pretty well. Everyone has done their part really well & I"m in so much joy.
Do yourself a favour & go watch it in the cinemas. It is brilliant.
The quality is quite good because it is not re-encoded.

This movie is amazing. By being the first half of a 2-parter which concludes the first 3 phases in the MCU, it could not have been better. The makers of this film are summing up 23 movies with these last 2 Avengers films beautifully. Rounding out the entire story arc with careful writing and doing every character his or her due justice. I applaud the Russo brothers for this achievement 110% since it is most definitely not an easy task.
The character who we have all been teased about "coming to reek major havoc" on our beloved super hero A-Team, The Avengers, and their new found friends, The Guardians of the Galaxy, is all and more I had hoped he would be. Thanos is a whole lot more dimensional in the MCU than in the comics, that is for sure. He has a deep meaning for his reasoning. He does horrible things, yes, but for, in his mind, a positive reason. And Josh Brolin does an excellent job in making Thanos believable.
The pace of this movie is the most amazing thing about it. This is about a 2 1/2 hour movie, but it seems to fly by because every scene is jam packed with either fun character interactions, awesome action, or storyline importance. My eyes were glued to the screen in fascination.
The ending was one of the most daring endings ever seen on film. I can not wait for Avengers 4.

También recuerdo que tienen unn chocolate impresionante. pero lo que me ha impresionado es ver los lugares por donde suceden las escenas de las películas. Nos hemos estado comentando el libro casi cada dia, en todas las etapas. cuando caminábamos. y nos hemos montado nuestras propias películas etc. Precioso el Baztan. Hay una etapa de este Camino que saliendo de Berroeta llega a Lantz o Olaguer, que es apasionante, fabulosa, sensacional... aunque el Baztan acaba en esta etapa... Hace dos semanas que hemos acabado el Camino y solo hablamos de la Triologia del Baztan y cuando estamos con amigos, y nos preguntan. jugueteamos con no decirles el final. porque si se sabe, se pierde el interés. Lo que no se pierde jamas es el recuerdo y la ansiedad de volver a estas tierras vaskonavarras. Y no cuento mas. que cada persona saque sus conclusiones...

The movie had an interesting premise but was poorly executed. The problem I"m finding with a lot of foreign movies is that they"ve copied Hollywood tropes and cliches and they really haven"t made them work to their advantage. This is a prime example. The lead detective does nothing but give orders around. Scenes are placed randomly with no continuity making the movie hard to follow. There"s no explanation for a lot of scenes, you somehow have to guess what happened or try to infer from the rapidly spoken Spanish. Overall, a poor attempt at a thriller. Watch it if you have nothing else to do on a Sunday afternoon.
